Jason recorded Siren’s Rest using a focused palette of waterphone, prepared piano, experimental percussive piano, and penny whistles, transforming the performances through extreme pitch-shifting, outboard reverbs, and deep sampling. The result is a muffled, pressure-soaked underwater sound world that evokes the isolation, weight, and claustrophobia of saturation diving.
