The first trailer for The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is now online and features almost 2:30 minutes of Jason’s original music! This is a rare example of when a game’s original score is also used in the game’s trailer. The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope will be available Summer 2020 on PC, PS4, and XB1. Jason is participating in two sessions at the 2020 Game Developers Conference:
Fascinating Rhythm: Bending the Power of Drums and Groove to Your Will In this session, Jason will break down his rhythmic approach to composing music from a drummer’s perspective, including creative patterns for drums/percussion and writing orchestral action music in odd time signatures. Topics will include musical phrasing and its impact on gameplay, creating grooves that support the in-game action and how properly layering rhythms can build to a satisfying interactive game experience. The Art of Rejection Five composers will bring to light the realities of the composer demo process, with a specific emphasis on the MANY times they have each been rejected. The conversation will cover the emotional and professional aspects of rejection, as well as the more controversial aspects of this practice (such as accepting unpaid demos, as well as undertaking large expenses in the process). The Moss OST is finally here, and to celebrate, Jason is hosting a remix contest with of the Moss song “Home To Me” featuring the fabulous singer Malukah. Ten tracks will be picked and featured on Jason’s YouTube channel, Audio Ark. Prizes include signed copies of the game, soundtrack and sheet music. More information here.
