The Dark Pictures: Little Hope – Release Date Announcement Trailer

Some serious heavy metal was used in this score…and not THAT kind of heavy metal! Plenty of tortured metal and strings can be heard in this newest trailer for The Dark Pictures: Little Hope. Coming to PS4, XB1, and PC on October 30, 2020.

The first trailer for The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope is now online and features almost 2:30 minutes of Jason’s original music! This is a rare example of when a game’s original score is also used in the game’s trailer. The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope will be available Summer 2020 on PC, PS4, and XB1.

GDC 2020 Presentations

Jason is participating in two sessions at the 2020 Game Developers Conference:

  • Fascinating Rhythm: Bending the Power of Drums and Groove to Your Will
    In this session, Jason will break down his rhythmic approach to composing music from a drummer’s perspective, including creative patterns for drums/percussion and writing orchestral action music in odd time signatures. Topics will include musical phrasing and its impact on gameplay, creating grooves that support the in-game action and how properly layering rhythms can build to a satisfying interactive game experience.

  • The Art of Rejection
    Five composers will bring to light the realities of the composer demo process, with a specific emphasis on the MANY times they have each been rejected. The conversation will cover the emotional and professional aspects of rejection, as well as the more controversial aspects of this practice (such as accepting unpaid demos, as well as undertaking large expenses in the process).

“Home To Me” Remix Announcement

The Moss OST is finally here, and to celebrate, Jason is hosting a remix contest with of the Moss song “Home To Me” featuring the fabulous singer Malukah. Ten tracks will be picked and featured on Jason’s YouTube channel, Audio Ark. Prizes include signed copies of the game, soundtrack and sheet music. More information here.

Fans Score Big with the Moss Original Soundtrack

The world of Moss will soon extend beyond the virtual reality headset with the release of the Moss Soundtrack, dropping across major digital retailers August 3, 2018. Moss Original VR Score

Jason has scored the charming and beautifully animated storybook adventure Moss, by Polyarc Games, hailed as the best PlayStation VR experience ever. The score features a small group of live soloists to portray the tiny, mouse protagonist Quill.
