Dead Space has received five nominations for the 2008 G.A.N.G. Awards, including Music of the Year, Sound Design of the Year, and Audio of the Year. G.A.N.G President Paul Lipson said, “The level of talent around the world is extremely high, and being voted as a final nominee is a remarkable accomplishment.” The awards take place at the 2009 Game Developer’s Conference, March 24-27.
Jason’s critically-acclaimed score for Dead Space has been honored with two British Academy Award nominations: “Original Score” and “Audio (sound effects, music, voice acting).” The Awards take place in London on Tuesday, March 10th.
Dead Space’s musical score and sound effects have been awarded a Best Audio nomination for the Ninth Annual Game Developer’s Choice Awards. The Awards take place Wednesday, March 25th during the 2009 Game Developer’s Conference.
Jason’s original score to Dead Space has been honored with two nominations from the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences: “Outstanding Achievement in Original Music Composition” and “Outstanding Achievement in Sound Design.” The Award Ceremony takes place during the D.I.C.E. IGN has nominated Jason’s music for Dead Space as Best Original Score 2008 in the “IGN.com: Best of 2008” awards.
EA’s upcoming horror opus Dead Space has been named “Best Action Adventure Game” in the Game Critic Awards: Best of E3 2008. Judges include representatives from Entertainment Weekly, Wired, USA Today and Time.
Jason’s original score features over two hours of psychological dread and is scheduled for release on iTunes and EATrax October 14.
Jason had received four nominations this year: "Best Instrumental Theme" for Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions, "Soundtrack of the Year" for Dead Head Fred, and "Best Handheld Audio" for Dead Head Fred and Transformers. The Award Ceremony takes place at the Game Developer’s Conference on Thursday, February 21st.
